About
We work in the web's crawl space.
CrawlSpace Labs is an anonymous studio. We work in the parts of the web most people skip: structured data, crawler directives, the markup under the floorboards. We pick one, build something careful and well-sourced about it, and give it away. We get things wrong sometimes; when we do, we try to fix it in the open. The work finds its own readers, and if it's what you needed, we're one message away.
How we work
- 01
Anonymous by default
No name, bio, or company in the UI, the metadata, or the hosting URLs. We share who we are one to one, off-site, only when a lead reaches out.
- 02
Show our work
We try to back what we say with a primary source and note when we last checked. When we can't stand something up, we'd rather say less than guess.
- 03
The medium is the proof
A site about a thing should be excellent at that thing: its own structured data, its own Core Web Vitals, its own restraint. The craft is the argument.
- 04
Publishing is a reviewed act
Automation gathers the data; a person reviews and publishes it. We like to read things before they ship.
- 05
Minimal, potent craft
One idea per view. Scannable, no chartjunk, no filler. The monochrome Instrument look is the house style, adapted per project.
- 06
Pull, not push
We grow through search, AI citations, and people sharing the work, not posts or ads. A quiet, private contact turns the inbound into a conversation.
Reach out
For an audit, a second opinion, or the next project. No pitch on the other end, just the people who built the work.
